Digiscan Labs Protect 1206i is an RF Detector for bugs and digital transmissions with improved performance and easy detection capabilities.
Compared to the Protect 1207i the new 1206i detector comes with capabilities to detect signals at lower frequencies, as well as newly designed antennas for better performance. It has a wider coverage at detecting as well as pinpointing Wi-Fi signals.
The device is compatible with the MWA-6 antenna that allows reception starting from 800 MHz, which means that it can increase the detection distance for the following signals: CDMA, low LTE, GSM 900, GSM 1800, and GSM 1900.
Also compatible with ODA-4 omnidirectional antenna that will improve the detecting and sensitivity range of the entire range of 80-4000 MHz, however, the most significant increase of performance will be within 80-700 MHz. This range is of importance when detecting or receiving the following signals: VHF, UHF, and ISM 315 & 433 MHz bands.

Wider coverage especially at lower frequencies allows increased detection distance of conventional VHF/UHF bug by 2-3 times while saving perfect sensitivity at the higher bands (GSM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.)
New Micro-Pointer microwave antenna (for ANT1/ANT2 socket)
This is the first time when an affordable RF detector gets the microwave log-periodic directed antenna supplied in the standard set. 2-4 times longer distance to all sources above 2GHz (Wi-Fi 2.4GHz, Wi-Fi 5GHz, Bluetooth, Wi-Max, LTE High, etc.). Due to its directionality, the micro pointer antenna allows easy detecting and pinpointing of a wireless source.
Increased dynamic range
The bar graph in the new model rises quickly to weak signals and increases slowly to strong signals. This gives the Protect 1206i the opportunity to locate the source.
New Attenuator
The new algorithm widens the dynamic range and makes the location procedure easier. When you turn on the attenuator near a strong source it will allow you to locate it precisely, as the bar graph which lights will drop and then increase further.
Detects Apple's AirTag
Apple's AirTag uses RF signals and connects via Bluetooth, exactly what both this Protect and the iProtect 1216 can detect! You will be able to tell if someone's AirTag is in your proximity.
