RF Spectrum Analyzer Training in Europe – REI OSCOR & REI MESA (2 Days)
This two-day training course provides practical instruction in detecting, analysing, and locating radio frequency (RF) signals using professional spectrum analysis equipment
REI OSCOR AND
REI MESA. Participants will learn how to operate both the REI OSCOR Radio Frequency Spectrum Analyzer and the REI MESA Mobile RF Spectrum Analyzer to identify unknown, suspicious, or potentially illegal RF transmissions.
The training focuses on real inspection examples, including signal detection, trace analysis, and signal localization using professional software and mapping tools. Participants build a solid understanding of RF technology and gain practical experience using both analyzers in different detection scenarios.
Core Course Topics with REI OSCOR and REI MESA Training
- Introduction to RF technology and how wireless signals act
- Overview of common signal modulation methods
- Core functions of the REI OSCOR and REI MESA spectrum analyzers
- Practical operation of both systems during RF inspections
- Advanced features and analysis tools
- RF trace analysis and use of the REI OSCOR Data Viewer software
- RF mapping and signal location techniques (REI OSCOR)
- Detection and analysis of WiFi and Bluetooth signals (REI MESA)
Practical, Real-World Application
Participants will learn how to:
- Detect active wireless transmitters
- Analyse signal patterns and behaviour
- Differentiate between normal and suspicious RF activity
- Locate signal sources using mapping and directional analysis
- Work with both portable and stationary spectrum analysis systems
Course outcome
By the end of the training, participants will be able to operate the
REI OSCOR and
REI MESA, analyse RF spectrum data, and locate signal sources using structured professional methods. They will understand how to apply spectrum analysis as part of technical surveillance detection and wireless security inspections.
Notes:
The training is held EU.
