Basic TSCM Training Course: A 2-Day Professional Introduction to Counter-Surveillance
This day training course, held within EU, provides a practical introduction to the procedures and techniques used in professional technical eavesdropping detection. It is designed for technical security professionals and anyone who needs to protect sensitive environments and want to understand both how surveillance threats are identified and a basic TSCM sweep is done.
The course focuses on common threat scenarios and explains the standard process done when doing sweeps. Participants will learn how inspections are planned, how different risks are evaluated, and how different detection methods are applied in real life. The training also introduces the main types of equipment used during TSCM sweeps.
What will you learn in the Basic 2-day TSCM Training?
During the training, participants will gain practical knowledge and experience in:
- Understanding typical surveillance threats and risk scenarios
- General process of a professional TSCM inspection
- Basic operation and purpose of commonly used detection equipment
- Telephone and data line testing
- RF spectrum testing and signal analysis
- Systematic physical search techniques
- General investigation methods used during sweeps
The focus of this training is on building understanding on how equipment is used in real inspection scenarios.
TSCM Equipment Covered in This Training
During the training, participants will learn the operation and function of key TSCM tools, including:
- REI ANDRE – RF Broadband Detector
- REI ORION – Non-Linear Junction Detector
- REI CMA-100 – Counter Measures Amplifier
- REI ANG-2200 – Noise Masking System
- Optical camera detector
- Thermal imaging camera
- Additional tools used for physical search procedures
- Possible applications for mobile X-ray technology
By the end of the training, participants will be familiar with common technical eavesdropping devices, understand basic sweep procedures, and know how professional detection equipment is used in practice.
