The LawMate PV-WT20W is a Full HD 1080P SmartWatch Digital Video Recorder with built-in Wi-Fi. 

In comparison with the previous PV-WT10 model, the PV-WT20W offers enhanced resolution, the frequently requested Wi-Fi option has been added, and the design has been brought up to date. 

While appearing and functioning as a normal smartwatch, the PV-WT20W offers you covert Full HD recording with 1080p resolution quality and a frame rate of up to 30 fps. This new and upgraded SmartWatch DVR from LawMate provides a built-in Wi-Fi module that allows full control, monitoring, and downloading of recordings from your smartphone via the App. 

Thanks to the device's side lens, you can hold your hand in a natural position while recording. The watch features a simple one-button design, is easy to operate, and most of all is user-friendly, so you can be focused on your fieldwork, and not appear suspicious when handling the covert mini DVR. Additionally helpful are the special signs on the screen that indicate the device status such as Power on/off, Recording on/off, and Low battery. 

The device also features the optional Over-write function that enables the user to overwrite the memory card so it doesn't require changing when full. What's more, the time-stamp option is available in both US and British systems. 

The PV-WT20W has a 3.7V 500mA integrated battery with a battery life of up to 90 minutes (Wi-Fi off) of continuous recording and has an integrated 32 GB memory storage.

 

After performing endurance tests, we can conclude that the PV-WT20W shows even better performance than specified in device specifications. When off Wi-Fi, the device records for 110 minutes instead of the expected 90 minutes, and when on Wi-Fi, it records continuously for 80 minutes, instead of the expected 65 minutes.

The time-stamp option is available in both US System and British systems. 

It provides basic watch functions such as time and date, but it is not a full fitness or notification smartwatch. Choose it for wearable video recording with a usable clock display, not for apps, calls or health tracking.

 

The rated continuous runtime is about 90 minutes with Wi-Fi off and 65 minutes with Wi-Fi on. The shop's own test reported longer figures, but battery age, temperature and screen/Wi-Fi use vary, so plan around the lower rated numbers.

 

No. This model has 32 GB of integrated storage rather than a user-swappable card. Download or copy important clips and use the optional overwrite setting only when you accept that the oldest files will be replaced.

Keep the lens unobstructed by a sleeve and hold your forearm in a natural, steady position. Because the view is 66 degrees, a short app preview and practice recording are worthwhile before you need reliable framing.

 

No. The PV-WT20W uses manual recording. If you need unattended motion-triggered room coverage, a PIR-equipped room recorder such as the PV-TM10FHD is a more suitable product type.

 

Do not assume it is waterproof unless the supplied documentation explicitly gives an ingress rating; avoid rain, showers and immersion. It records audio with video in markets where the microphone version is supplied, subject to local consent and privacy laws.
