The PV-500 Neo Pro is the newest portable Wi-Fi DVR from LawMate, featuring a new locking din plug for a strong camera connection to the DVR. 

Like the previous model (PV-500HDW Pro), this DVR offers a Wi-Fi connection via Smartphone to the App, allowing you to live monitor the video feed and take snapshots through your smartphone using the App, as well as configure device settings.
 
The PV-500 Neo Pro is the latest and most advanced model of the PV-500 Wi-Fi DVR series with an LCD screen. This LawMate DVR has been at the very top of the best-selling multipurpose mini DVRs in this price range. The reinforced military-grade dim plug system is newly implemented, which prevents any signal interruptions due to cable movement. This makes it ideal for covert operations and ensures a stable connection no matter where the unit is located.
 
Almost everything stayed the same regarding the Wi-Fi DVR including full product specifications. However, as the camera-to-DVR connection has been reinforced, the new cameras are not compatible with the old DVRs and vice versa. 
 
The DVR has a 3' LCD Touch Screen which remained in high demand even after Lawmate's Wi-Fi line with in-App live monitoring was introduced. 
This makes this device operable in multiple ways; via the App, via the remote control (PI-RF60 Remote Controller), via the LCD screen, or via the cable controller (comes with the accessories). 
 
In addition to its many features, the PV-500 Neo Pro has full HD 1080p resolution at 30 FPS and can record for up to 160 minutes in 1080p with the included BA-2200 battery, or up to 400 minutes with the BA-4400. 

The DVR can be used as a standard DVR without the connection to Wi-Fi or manipulation via the App, however, it can also be used as a covert LawMate DVR while activating the recording or snapshots via your smartphone.

PV-500Neo Pro Feature Focus:

Reinforced dim plug for stable connection

This military-grade plug for the CAM to DVR cable and connection guarantees that signal issues are a problem of the past. Interruptions cannot occur anymore, no matter if you are moving while recording, or if you have hidden the unit in a hard-to-reach place. 

Wi-Fi Module

Now it is well tested and we know that the Wi-Fi connection is ideal for indoors, as well as short-distance outdoors covert operations. The signal can reach through a couple of rooms, and it also works on the outside where it reaches up to 100 m.
The distance depends on the place where your router is, and the strength of the signal.

For coverage of great distances, we recommend an IP camera, where you can monitor the live feed from anywhere in the world once you have set up the device.

The Controller Cable

Allows you to use the DVR while it is in your pocket or hidden elsewhere (handbag). It is easy to use and offers multiple functions. 
  1. Plug in the Controller Cable into the Control port.
  2. To turn on the device, slide the controller toggle downward and hold for 3 seconds. The device starts recording instantly. To turn off the device and stop recording, slide the controller toggle downward again and hold for 3 seconds.
  3. To turn on Wi-Fi, slide the controller toggle downward and hold for 1 second when the Controller Cable is turned on. To turn off Wi-Fi, slide the controller toggle downward again and hold for 1 second.

How to start recording with the PV-500 Neo Pro DVR:

  1. Connect the camera to the mini USB camera jack of the DVR
  2. Make sure the SD card is inserted, and the battery is charged
  3. Press the power button for 3 seconds 
  4. Press the record button if you wish to start/stop recording before connecting the DVR to Wi-Fi 
  5. Press the power button for the second time to power on Wi-Fi 
  6. Connect your Android/iOS device to a Wi-Fi Network that starts with "PV-500.."
  7. Use the default password "88888888" - it can be changed later on in the App Settings
  8. Open your PV-CAM app and start monitoring your live feed

Can I monitor the live feed from the PV-500 Neo Pro from anywhere in the world?
No, for remote monitoring from anywhere in the world, we advise you to take a look at the IP Camera section. The PV-500 Neo Pro comes with a built-in Wi-Fi module that allows you to connect the DVR to your smartphone and access the footage within your Wi-Fi range.

What's the recording resolution of the PV-500 Neo Pro?
The PV-500 Neo Pro offers recording resolutions in 1080p, 720p, and WVGA. You can adjust these settings in the device's configuration.

How long can PV-500 Neo Pro record on a single charge?
When powered by the included BA-2200 battery, the PV-500 Neo Pro can record for up to 160 minutes in 1080p.

Is there a larger capacity battery available for the PV-500 Neo Pro?

Can I use the PV-500 Neo Pro without a camera?
You can power on the DVR, access data, and adjust settings without a camera, but recording is only possible when a camera is connected to the DVR.

Can I operate the PV-500 Neo Pro without an SD card?
No, you must insert an SD card into the slot to activate the DVR. Otherwise, it will automatically power down after a few seconds.

What is the memory capacity of the PV-500 Neo Pro? 
All data gets saved on a complimentary 16GB SD card. You can use even larger 32 GB SD cards sold separately or even format 64 GB SD card to FAT32 format for larger storage.  

How do I unlock the screen on my PV-500 Neo Pro?
The screen automatically locks when recording begins, indicated by a lock icon on the touch screen. To unlock it, press and hold the Rec/Stop button for 2-3 seconds until the lock icon disappears.

Can I adjust video length on my PV-500 Neo Pro?
Yes, you can customize the video length settings to 3, 5, or 10 minutes through the device's settings.

Can I set a password on my PV-500 Neo Pro?
Certainly, you can set a password in the settings, comprising a combination of numbers.
