LawMate BU-18Neo is a button camera compatible with the new LawMate Wi-Fi DVRs.
Designed for the
PV-500Neo and
PV-500Neo Pro Wi-Fi DVRs, this camera provides Full HD 1080P videos/photos and has a low light recording capability of 0.1 Lux. Like the previous bestseller in the Wi-Fi Cam category, it comes with an integrated microphone and longer cable.
The BU-18Neo camera comes with a set of buttons and screws allowing it to be installed in multiple ways. It is very popular to use this type of LawMate camera as a wearable camera with a matching set of buttons but it is also common to install it in a steady environment using a set of screws.

BU-18Neo FAQs
Can the LawMate BU-18Neo button camera record without a DVR?
No. It is a 2 MP camera head with a lens, cable and locking connector; it has no independent battery or memory. Pair it with a PV-500Neo or PV-500Neo Pro DVR before expecting it to record.
Which DVRs are compatible with the LawMate BU-18Neo button camera?
The manufacturer's guide specifies the PV-500Neo and PV-500Neo Pro. Do not force the plug into an older or different recorder just because the socket looks similar.
What are the button and DIY lens covers supplied with the BU-18Neo for?
They disguise and secure the small lens for different mounting styles. Pick the cover that matches the clothing or enclosure, make sure it does not block the lens, and check the view on the DVR/app after installation.
How do I connect the BU-18Neo camera to a PV-500 Neo recorder safely?
Switch the DVR off, insert the camera connector fully into Camera In, then rotate the locking collar in the direction shown in the guide. Insert the memory card and connect the camera before powering the DVR on.
Can the LawMate BU-18Neo record in low light or complete darkness?
It is rated at 0.1 lux and records 1080p through the compatible DVR, but it has no infrared night vision. Some ambient light is still necessary, and the tiny lens must remain clean and uncovered.
Does the BU-18Neo button camera have a built-in microphone?
Most versions include a microphone in the camera assembly. The manual notes that US-market versions may be supplied without one, so confirm the regional model; recording a conversation may also require consent even when video recording is lawful.
Should I buy the BU-18Neo camera alone or the PV-500 Neo Pro bundle?
Buy it alone as a replacement or alternative camera when you already own a compatible Neo DVR. A new user normally needs the PV-500 Neo Pro bundle, because the BU-18Neo alone cannot power, store or display recordings.
What is the video quality of the BU-18Neo?
The BU-18Neo provides Full HD 1080P video quality, ensuring clear and detailed footage. This high-resolution video capability is crucial for capturing usable evidence and conducting effective surveillance. The camera’s ability to deliver high-quality video makes it a valuable tool for professional surveillance applications.
