Product Update - September 2026
The WAM-X25 is now the WAM-X25+
JJN Digital has superseded the WAM-X25 with the WAM-X25+, effective September 2026. Every existing feature is retained, and all orders on the
WAM-X25 product page ship as the new version.
Our bestselling wireless activity monitor just became significantly better, at no change to how you use it. Same proven unit, same 7-inch screen and simple keypad, but with new detection hardware inside: the WAM-X25+ now detects WiFi 6E and WiFi 7 devices on the 6GHz band, Bluetooth trackers such as Apple AirTags, and satellite phone uplinks, on top of everything the WAM-X25 already covered.
The new WAM-X25+, visually identical to the WAM-X25
This is good news for both kinds of buyers we serve. If you run professional TSCM sweeps, you get three new bands on the instrument you already know: 5925 to 7125 MHz for WiFi 6E/7, dedicated BLE Beacon hardware (BLE 4.0 up to 6.0), and a separate L-Band (1.6GHz) satellite uplink band. If you are securing offices, meeting rooms or vehicles for the first time, this is now the strongest case yet for choosing one device that does it all, and the new White List function makes it easier to use than any previous version. Read on and you will know by the end whether it is the right device for you.
What the WAM-X25+ now detects, and why it matters
1
WiFi 6E and WiFi 7 devices
The latest cameras, routers and covert devices increasingly transmit on the 6GHz band (5925 to 7125 MHz), which detectors with the standard 2.4GHz and 5GHz coverage simply do not monitor. The WAM-X25+ watches all three bands, so a device cannot evade you by being new.
2
AirTags and Bluetooth trackers
The tracker someone plants on a vehicle or drops in a bag is most often a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacon. New dedicated hardware lists every nearby BLE device with its MAC address, manufacturer where available, signal strength in dBm and packet count, so you can find it, not just suspect it.
3
Satellite phones
Satellite phones bypass the mobile network entirely, which made them invisible to cellular-band detectors. The WAM-X25+ logs their L-Band (1.6GHz) uplink transmissions like any other event, a capability that until now typically meant buying separate equipment.
The five changes in the WAM-X25+
1
New 6GHz Wi-Fi band. WiFi 6E and WiFi 7 detection alongside the existing 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.
2
Bluetooth BLE Beacon detection. New hardware that lists AirTags and other Beacon-type trackers, supporting BLE 5.1 up to BLE 6.0 and backwards down to BLE 4.0.
3
Satellite phone uplink detection. A separate L-Band (1.6GHz) detection band.
4
'White List' function. In Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modes, hide the devices you already know, your own router, phones and headsets, so the screen shows only what does not belong.
5
USB-C charging. The Micro USB port is gone. The WAM-X25+ charges over USB-C in approximately 4 hours, with a 110-240V auto-switching charger and international adaptors in the case.
Everything else carries over unchanged, and that is a compliment: the 0-14GHz wideband detector with Livescan, worldwide 2G/3G/4G/5G cellular coverage by region, the Wi-Fi Network and Bluetooth Device Analysers, Direction Find with the supplied directional antenna, the 10,000-event log with USB export, and the machined aircraft-grade aluminium enclosure in its military standard carry case. All figures are JJN Digital manufacturer specification from the official WAM-X25+ datasheet (PDF), September 2026.

What that looks like in practice
A planted device gives itself away when it transmits. The WAM-X25+ watches for exactly that, before and during the meeting.
- Walk the room and hide the company's own access points, laptops and phones with the White List.
- Leave the unit monitoring across cellular, Wi-Fi including the 6GHz band, and Bluetooth.
- Review the event log afterwards: every transmission is stamped with time, band, duration and signal strength.
A device that wakes up and transmits during the meeting is logged and located, including WiFi 6E/7 hardware that older detectors do not see.
The tracker someone plants on a car is most often a BLE beacon such as an AirTag, or a cellular GPS tracker. The WAM-X25+ finds both.
- Run the Bluetooth Analyser next to the vehicle: AirTags and other beacons appear in the list with their signal strength in dBm.
- Move around the car and let the rising dBm reading lead you to the device.
- Check Graph Mode for cellular GPS trackers that transmit on a schedule: they show up as regular spikes.
You leave knowing, not suspecting. Every transmitter around the vehicle is in the log.
In exam halls, secure facilities and clean rooms, the problem is not one device but any device.
- Select your region and let the worldwide cellular detection log every 2G to 5G event automatically.
- Satellite phone uplinks are now logged as well, the one workaround a cellular-only detector could never catch.
- Review all activity later, as a list or graphically, or export the full log to USB.
A complete, time-stamped record of every wireless transmission in the protected area.
New testing coming soon: we recently updated our
full WAM-X25 operating guide for TSCM sweeps with all specifications and usage steps. Our own WAM-X25+ unit is on its way to our office: new testing is coming, and the updated guide will be available soon.
Which device should you buy?
1
Buying your first serious detector?
The WAM-X25+ is the one-device answer. It covers the full 0-14GHz range plus the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Analysers, and with the White List it no longer assumes TSCM experience. Our
operating guide takes you through a complete first sweep.
2
Already running a WAM-X25?
Your WAM-X25 keeps doing exactly what it has always done, and nothing about this update changes that. The WAM-X25+ is what you will receive when you next add a unit or replace one: same keypad, same menus, no retraining, with the 6GHz band, BLE beacon listing and satellite phone coverage added on top. The updated guide will be available soon.
3
Deciding between models?
The compact
WAM-X10 remains the right pick for quick field checks, and our
WAM-X25 vs CAM-GX5 comparison still applies, with the WAM-X25+ now adding three new bands on top of that verdict.
Why buy it from SpyShopEurope
We have specialised in counter-surveillance and TSCM equipment since 1990 and carry the full JJN Digital portfolio as a direct reseller, so you get the current hardware revision, the manufacturer warranty and real pre-sales advice from people who work with this equipment, not a marketplace listing.
