As of September 2026, the
WAM-X25 has been superseded by the
WAM-X25+. The unit
is visually identical, but it carries significant new detection hardware and software. Every feature of
the previous WAM-X25 is retained, and all orders placed on this page ship as the WAM-X25+.
New in the WAM-X25+:
- 6GHz Wi-Fi Band: Detects WiFi 6E and
WiFi 7 devices transmitting on 5925 to 7125 MHz, a band older detectors do not monitor.

The WAM-X25+ is designed to detect and log all RF activity in
the surrounding environment, including 2G/3G/4G and the latest 5G devices, as well as Wi-
Fi/Bluetooth/2.4GHz, 5GHz & 6GHz Devices. It detects mobile phones, smartphones, GPS bugs
and trackers, SMS (Texts), 3G/4G/5G Video, AirTags and other B.L.E. devices, satellite phones, and the
latest Store & Forward devices.
With a 0-14GHz range of coverage, this Wideband
detector, provides complete coverage, detection, and logging of transmissions from all types of
radiofrequency devices. Additionally, with the 'Livescan'
software feature, the WAM-X25+ shows the detected live signal patterns graphically to help
identify the signal type. Graph Mode also plots real-time or
historical graphs for all detected cellular bands, which aids in further and more detailed analysis of
transmissions.
Two standout features the WAM-X25+ boasts are the Wi-Fi
Network Analyser and the Bluetooth Device Analyser. The Wi-Fi Network (2.4GHz &
5GHz) Analyser provides you with detailed activity data about WLAN networks in the surrounding
area such as Hotspots, Routers, Wi-Fi cameras, etc. The built-in Bluetooth Device Analyser lists all
nearby active Bluetooth devices such as smartphones, headphones, trackers, and now also AirTags
and other Beacon-type devices, and gathers detailed information about each one.
Direction Find Function is another key feature. This
Direction Find Mode enables you to get an accurate indication of the detected signal source by
rotating the WAM-X25+ 360 degrees using the directional antenna supplied and gathering signal
strength information.
With the Worldwide Cellular Band Detection, the
WAM-X25+ offers you to simply select the international region the device is being used in, so it can
then detect all relevant local cellular bands. The device is ideal for environments where cellular
devices are prohibited, like meeting rooms, or in vehicles to locate tracking devices. Furthermore
featuring are separate 2.4GHz, 5GHz & 6GHz bands for
better detection of Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/Video and other latest generation ‘Store &
Forward’ devices, including the newest WiFi 6E and WiFi 7 equipment.
As with all JJN digital products, much thought has been put into the physical design for
achieving maximum ease of use and durability. The keypad design allows for operating to be simple
and intuitive and on the 7" high-resolution TFT screen, you are able to simultaneously perform real-
time detection while also viewing previously occurred events. The unit itself is enclosed in
machined aircraft-grade aluminum enclose, whilst the whole system comes in a compact heavy-duty
military standard carry case.
With the integrated Lithium-Polymer battery, the WAM-X25+ provides you with up to 6 hours of uninterrupted operation time, and recharges in
approximately 4 hours via the new USB-C port.

Worldwide Cellular Band Detection
The Worldwide Multiband Cellular Detection is
a feature that allows you to select the international region in which you are using the device, so the
WAM-X25+ will detect signals from all relevant local cellular bands. It is ready for the latest 5G
devices, as well as existing 2G, 3G, and 4G bands. This feature is very useful for use in environments
where cellular devices are not allowed like offices, meeting rooms, exam rooms, or vehicles. All
activity is logged and saved so you can review it at a later time, in list format or graphically.
Satellite Phone Uplink Detection
New on the WAM-X25+ is a separate detection
band for satellite phones using L-Band (1.6GHz). Satellite phones bypass the cellular network entirely,
so a detector limited to cellular bands cannot see them. The dedicated L-Band coverage means
satellite phone uplink transmissions in the monitored area are detected and logged like any other
cellular event.
Separate 2.4GHz, 5GHz & 6GHz Wi-Fi Detection
The separate 2.4GHz, 5GHz
& 6GHz bands are used to aid in the detection of rapidly growing available Wi-
Fi/Bluetooth/Video and the latest generation Store & Forward devices on the market. Store
& Forward device records audio over a longer period of time and then transmits it in short
regular bursts. With the separate bands, WAM-X25+ will also uncover devices that use these bands as
covert wireless video transmitters. The new 6GHz band (5925 to 7125 MHz) covers the latest WiFi 6E
and WiFi 7 devices, which transmit outside the reach of older 2.4GHz & 5GHz-only
detectors.
Wi-Fi Network Analyser
The Independent Wi-Fi Network (2.4GHz&5GHz)
Analyser provides you with detailed activity information about all WLAN networks in the local area,
for example, Hotspots, Routers, Wi-Fi cameras, etc. The feature enables the WAM-X25+ to scan
through the detected Wi-Fi Access Points and Clients and then accumulate detailed data such as Date
& Time, Wi-Fi MAC Address, Manufacturer (if available), Type (Access Point or Client), Number of

Bluetooth Device Analyser with BLE Beacon Detection
The built-in Bluetooth
Analyser lists all nearby active Bluetooth devices, namely smartphones, tablets, headphones, trackers,
etc. New Bluetooth BLE Beacon detection hardware on the WAM-X25+ means it now also lists Apple
AirTags and other Beacon-type devices, supporting BLE 5.1 up to BLE 6.0 and backwards down to BLE
4.0. The WAM-X25+ collects information including Date & Time, Bluetooth MAC Address,
Manufacturer (if available), Signal Strength in dBm and Number of Data Pockets detected.
'White List' Function
Also new on the WAM-X25+ is the 'White List' function within
the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modes. It lets you hide devices that are not of interest, such as your own
office network, phones and headphones, so the on-screen list shows only unknown devices. In a busy
RF environment this makes a sweep far easier to read, especially for less experienced users.
Direction Find Function
The Direction Find Function enables you to locate the
source of a detected RF signal by rotating the WAM-X25+ 360 degrees while using the supplied
directional antenna. While you are slowly rotating the unit, signal strength information is collected
and plotted graphically over 360 degrees so you are able to get an accurate indication of the detected
signal source.

The event log of WAM-X25+ stores up to 10,000
events, each with Time/Date, Duration, Band detected and Signal strength stamps. They are stored so
you can view them later on simultaneously as a list or graphically. The entire event log can be
downloaded to a USB stick so you can store it or transfer it to a computer where you can view it for
further analysis.

for maximum durability while operating. Also featuring is a widescreen high-resolution 7" color TFT
