The new 2026
OSCOR Max Portable Spectrum Analyzer represents the latest upgrade to REI's professional portable spectrum analyzer lineup for TSCM and RF counter-surveillance applications. OSCOR Max is designed as the successor to OSCOR Blue and OSCOR Green, reflecting the growing need for wider frequency coverage and faster signal detection in modern RF environments.
Extended Frequency Coverage and High-Speed Sweep Performance
OSCOR Max provides continuous spectrum coverage from
10 kHz up to 43 GHz, enabling detection of:
- Traditional RF transmitters
- High-frequency wireless technologies
- Short-range and emerging wireless signals
This wide coverage ensures reliable monitoring across both legacy and modern RF threats.
Compared to previous models, OSCOR Max offers significantly improved sweep performance, scanning the full 43 GHz frequency range at 25.6 times per second. This makes it well suited for detecting short-duration, burst, or intermittent transmissions that are often difficult to capture with conventional spectrum analyzers.
Integrated Auto-Switching Antenna System
The system features fully integrated, auto-switching antennas covering the full frequency range, eliminating the need for manual antenna changes during a sweep.
A large 13.3-inch touchscreen display provides clear visualization of spectrum activity, spectrograms, and signal behavior, improving usability during field operations.
Advanced Signal Analysis Features
In addition to RF spectrum analysis, OSCOR Max supports advanced signal analysis functions such as:
- Wide instantaneous bandwidth operation,
- SmartBars™ and Discrete Bands analysis,
- I/Q data recording,
- Trace comparison, and
- other intelligent signal visualization tools
The included Multi-Purpose Probe allows detection of certain non-RF threats such as infrared, ultrasonic, and more, extending its usefulness beyond classic RF sweeps.
With the introduction of OSCOR Max, the previously available OSCOR Green and OSCOR Blue have been discontinued, making OSCOR Max the current portable OSCOR solution offered by REI. The new platform is intended for professional users who require extended frequency coverage, modern analysis features, and long-term product support.
Who Is OSCOR Max Designed For?
OSCOR Max is a professional-grade instrument intended for qualified users and organizations who require the highest level of RF detection coverage and operational efficiency:
- TSCM professionals and certified sweep teams
- Government intelligence and national security agencies
- Military and law enforcement units with RF monitoring requirements
- Corporate security departments protecting executive environments and sensitive facilities
- Private investigation firms specializing in counter-surveillance
- Critical infrastructure protection teams
