JJN Digital EDD-24T Handheld Electronic Device Detector is a Non-Linear Junction Detector (NLJD) that detects all types of electronic equipment, no matter if active, passive, or powered off. 

The EDD-24T detects contemporary electronic devices like mobile phones, tracking devices, listening devices, covert cameras, digital voice recorders, Nano/ SIM cards, etc. It will detect them in all working mode scenarios: powered on, powered off (and without any power), in standby mode, and in use.

 

How does it work? Semiconductors in current electronic products are made using silicone. Silicon responds with a strong second harmonic frequency when high-frequency radio signals are transmitted directly over it. In contrast, bi-metals and oxidized metals respond with a third harmonic signal. The NLJD transmits a focused directional signal on 2.4 GHz (ISMBand Type B) and receives on 4.8GHz (Second Harmonic) and 7.2GHz (Third Harmonic).

This means, that when a high-frequency radio signal hits even the smallest amount of silicone, like the ones found in mobile phone parts, SIM cars, and so on, the high-sensitivity receiver will respond to it (with a strong 2nd Harmonic frequency) and thus detect it. The same goes for the 3rd Harmonic receiver that responds to metals and bi-metals and can serve as a good confirmation source for signals that are at first ambiguous.

EDD-24T NLJD is user-friendly and allows a wide range of people to use it; from beginners to professionals. It uses an intelligent algorithm to analyze the detected signals (2nd and 3rd Harmonic) and evaluates the material probability (Silicone or Metal). It has receivers equally powerful and sensitive when compared to much larger portable units on the market.

It is compact, enclosed in machined Aluminium, and has a battery life of up to 4,5 hours. The Audible Tone and Demodulation Function is available via the speaker or the provided earphones.

It is made in England (designed, manufactured, and tested), while abiding by high technical standards and delivered in a Military Standard carrying case.
