The BURAN 1200 S&F is a compact audio monitor built for low-power, hands-off surveillance. It records with voice activation and stores files locally.
It automatically uploads them to a remote server over a 4G connection whenever a signal is available, so there is no need to retrieve the device to collect your recordings.
The device uses circular recording, looping back and overwriting the oldest files once the internal memory (up to 1 hour of audio) is full. To make sure nothing is lost, insert a 4G SIM card with a data plan, so files are uploaded to the server before they get overwritten.
Voice-triggered recording lets the BURAN 1200 S&F remain in standby for up to 7 days, only waking to record when sound is detected. If a VoLTE-enabled SIM card is used, you can also call the device directly to listen in real-time, with Call Auto Answer enabled via the BURAN SF setup tool.
For predictable coverage, scheduled recording can be configured for up to 4 timeslots per day, repeating daily. All settings, including voice sensitivity, are configured through the BURAN SF setup app on Windows or Mac, and the mobile Audio Monitor app provides push notifications and remote file access once files reach the cloud.

Tamper-Resistant File Management
Individual files cannot be deleted through a computer connection, protecting the integrity of recordings. Erasing all files requires a deliberate hardware sequence on the device itself.
How to use the device:
- Fully charge the device for at least 4 hours before first use.
- Insert a 4G SIM card with data service (or a VoLTE-enabled SIM for real-time call-in listening).
- Download and install the BURAN SF setup tool (Windows or Mac).
- Sync the time and configure your preferred settings - mic gain, voice-trigger sensitivity, post-trigger record time, split file time, and scheduled timeslots if required.
- Register the device to the server using an email address and password, and note the server address and Device ID shown.
- Press and hold the Power key for approximately 2 seconds to start recording - the green LED will flash to confirm.
- Install the Audio Monitor mobile app and add your device using the Device ID, server address, and login to view and download files on the go.
- To stop recording, press and hold the Power key for approximately 3 seconds until the red LED flashes, then release; the device powers down after a short delay.

Can individual files be deleted from the device?
No. Individual files cannot be deleted through a computer connection to prevent tampering. Erasing all recordings requires a deliberate hardware key sequence performed directly on the device while connected to a 5V USB charger or power bank, not a computer.
What is the battery life of the BURAN 1200 S&F?
Battery life depends on the mode: up to 20 hours during active recording and upload, up to 7 days in voice-trigger standby, and up to 10 hours in live listen mode, powered by the internal 1200 mAh battery.
What happens if the device loses 4G signal while recording?
If there's no available 4G connection, the BURAN 1200 S&F continues recording and storing files locally on its internal memory. Uploads resume automatically as soon as a signal is regained, though files are only kept until the memory is full - if the oldest un-uploaded file gets overwritten before the connection returns, it will be lost.
Do I need to register an account to use the device?
Yes. The device is registered to a server using an email address and password through the BURAN SF setup tool, which also generates the server address and Device ID needed for the mobile app and web playback. If you forget your password, a reset link can be emailed to the registered address, or you can register a new account with a different email if needed.
Where is the BURAN 1200 S&F made, and is it legal to use?
