PICO 3.0 is a mini listening bug and voice recorder with store&forward function over Wi-Fi.
Unlike GSM-based audio bugs that rely on cellular networks, the PICO 3.0 operates over standard 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and requires no SIM card. You can listen to the real-time audio on a paired smartphone or tablet via a dedicated mobile app available for both Android and iOS.
The Pico 3.0 continuously logs data to a local micro-SD card so you can access stored files at any time, even remotely. The device measures 93 × 21 × 9 mm in its heat-shrink enclosure, which is smaller than an AA battery.
It is suitable for body-worn operations with an external battery pack, static indoor deployment on mains power, and in-vehicle installation with a 12 V DC adapter.

Store & Forward Remote Access

No SIM Card, No Cellular Exposure
There is no SIM card to register, no carrier to route audio through, and no cellular metadata generated by the device. The PICO 3.0 connects to any available 2.4 GHz network, including a portable hotspot created by the operator's own phone, and communicates within that network.
Timestamped Recordings for Evidential Use
Every file stored on the micro-SD card includes embedded date and time metadata at the moment of creation. Files are named and sorted by timestamp in the mobile app, enabling operators to locate specific time windows without having to play long recordings.

Three power configurations cover the full range of operational scenarios:
- Body-worn use: the PICO 3.0 can be worn concealed under clothing with an external battery pack. Its small size allows it to be concealed in a jacket pocket, under a shirt, or within an everyday object.
- Indoor installation: Connected to a standard 110–220 VAC micro power supply, the device operates indefinitely without a battery, making it suitable for placements in offices, vehicles, meeting rooms, or any fixed indoor location.
- In-vehicle use of a 12 V DC adapter allows integration with a vehicle's electrical system, powering the device from the car's own supply and eliminating battery concerns during mobile operations.

Does the PICO 3.0 require a SIM card?
No. The device operates exclusively on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and does not require a SIM card, cellular subscription, or mobile data connection. It connects to any available 802.11 network, including a personal hotspot created by the operator's phone.
What happens to recordings if the Wi-Fi connection drops?
The device continues recording to the micro-SD card regardless of network status. Live streaming resumes automatically when the connection is restored. No audio is lost during connectivity interruptions.
How long does the battery last?
Battery life depends on the operating mode. In VOX recording mode, the device draws 45–50 mAh; in full live-streaming mode, 70–80 mAh. The default 780 mAh Li-ion battery provides several hours of operation in active modes. Custom higher-capacity batteries are available. In standby, consumption falls below 2 mAh.
What audio format are recordings saved in?
Recordings are saved as mono WAV files at 8 kHz, 16-bit. This format is optimised for voice intelligibility and efficient storage. At this bitrate, a 128 GB micro-SD card accommodates thousands of hours of audio.
Can the microphone be placed separately from the main unit?
Yes. A wired external microphone is available in custom lengths, allowing the sensor capsule to be routed to a position physically separate from the PICO unit itself.
Is remote access to recordings possible?
Yes. As long as the PICO 3.0 remains connected to a Wi-Fi network, recordings stored on the micro-SD card can be browsed, played back, and downloaded remotely via the mobile app from any location with internet access.
What power options are compatible?
The device accepts 5 V DC via USB-C. Compatible power sources include the built-in Li-ion battery, external Li-ion battery packs, standard AC mains adapters (110–220 VAC), and 12 V DC vehicle adapters. Custom battery configurations are available.
Is the device compatible with both iPhone and Android?
